A CD filled the room with the upbeat jazzy sounds of New Orleans.  Purple, green, and gold paper masks were held in place with a thin string of elastic, hiding the residents faces from the nose up. Residents that are prone to wander and not know where they are, like my mom, are fitted with a device on their wrist that looks a bit like a watch. When you buy something on Amazon, there is a button you can choose for 'New and Used' that are sold by individuals and small businesses, and that's where these appear.  Every week, I put a bunch more on, and I'm up to 175 items.I started with the VHS tapes that were brand new and still in the shrink wrap. Before I moved home, she was still able to heat frozen dinners in the microwave.  But that knowledge is gone.Now she "makes" pudding by peeling off the foil cover.  She also unwraps the candy on the counter, such as Hershey's Kisses, and eats that.  Her favorite is ice cream and she isn't able to get a dish for herself.
